ICU Gigasoft: TOTMG Update - 3 Characters

ICU Gigasoft: TOTMG Update - Plot/Synopsis


So, as I am basing this game on a forum, I have started to make the characters,
the members of the forum. I a
As said earlier, this is based on the ICU Gigasoft Forum.

"Time has passed since the seal of KRPGTSS123 was placed on, and everything was peaceful and alive at the Gigasoft Kingdom.
A mysterious person has an audience with the rulers of the kingdom, U and C Division. This peron names himself as LegendaryFish, which claims to be a magical girl. He predicts that a catastrophe is about to occur, but the rulers dismiss him and claim him to be a liar and make him go into exile."
Gradually, LegendaryFish's predictions are true: people around the kingdom start to disappear, and a series of unfortunate events occur: MarioSuperStar's creativity, ideas, and projects are stolen; DSS suddenly suffers from the "lazyness disease"; Aero  goes to search for the disappearing members of the forum, but never returns; Solo-Knight goes in search for Aero, but never returns as well.
U and C Division, seeing how their previous actions have affected the fate of their kingdom, summons JudgmentTH and Weslexei. The rulers command them to search for the magical girl to find the one responsible for this mess."

ICU Gigasoft Game Mini-Update

So, as I am basing this game on a forum, I have started to make the characters,
the members of the forum. I am starting with JudgmentTH, which his avatar is
Sig from the Puyo Puyo series. So far, I've got the different direction poses, now
I need to make the walking animations .-. (Which I'm not very good in):










Oh, by the way, the game, if I haven't told you guys yet, is called:
ICU Gigasoft: The Treasure of the Magic Girl
The reason behind this title is obviously the plot, and its overview will be
revealed when I get some decent progress in this..

I guess I need to explain things...

Hello everyone!
I have some good and bad news. I'll start with the bad news. The bad news is, that the hard drive of my laptop died. Yes, literally died. It's like in those situations that something bad happens to you and you don't know why. I actually can't tell why this happened.
Now for the good thing. I made a backup 1-2 weeks before my laptop died, so it's not all lost. I am going to get my laptop repaired on Monday maybe, so that's also good.

And for those wandering how I was able to put this entry despite my laptop died, I am using a old desk computer I used to work in.

HURRRRRR Interruptions!

As you may know, I was on a vacation. WAS. Why? Well, because responsabilities have taken over me, and these responsibilities, I can't take them back.

So far we have the attacks for the players that will be available at the demo, and polished enemies so you could "enjoy" fighting them.

What are we working on now? Well, we're working on a sidequest just for you guys!

But it's not really necessary to do this side-quest for the demo, but since you guys waited so much, we want to reward you with something you will have fun with!

I hope we can get back working on this in a more steady and smooth way, so we can bring you guys what you've been waiting for!

Winged Enemies

As you might know, there are winged enemies in the Mario universe. And for this fangame, we're going to implement them. The only tweak we're changing is, that when you jump over an enemy the enemy doesn't fall down like  in Mario games. The enemy will only fall if it has half of its original life. This tweak was made because we made a variety of attacks for the winged enemies so far and we want the player to enjoy and see those attacks.

Beta Testing will now start, but-

Beta testing will soon start, so we can bring you the demo of NovaShards, but in the meantime, we need you to ask something to you guys.

There's this side thing we're making called Cosmic Dungeon. It's like an altered/inverted version of the dungeon where you enter it, sort of like the Light and Dark Dungeons in a Link to the Past. We're developing it for the 1st dungeon in the demo.

The question is, do you want to wait for it? If we don't include it, we would be more ready to give you guys for it, but I think you should have the chance to play this addition we're working in.

So, to influence our decision, you can comment deciding if we should or shouldn't include the Cosmic Dungeon.

We'll wait until Saturday for you to enter the comments.

Work on NovaShards

Well, I erased some unused stuff, but then I was testing and the program asks for some of them and... oh dear. Luckily, I have a copy with the deleted resources.

I made some progress programming the last boss in the demo, encountered some bugs.
I'm calling it a day. I'll see if I can work on this later.

Project Time and Organization Update


There's been some things happening since last time I posted, so I want you guys to fill in.

There's this little side-project I am doing called Springline. It's the first serious non-fan game I am doing. It's a cool game with a fresh idea. By the way, I got a demo released so if you want to check it out you can go to this link and download it:

You might be wandering what I've beeen up to in all this time, about Super Mario RPG: The NovaShards Journey. I am disappointed to say, little. I have realized that the time is not my best pal at these times, so I'll be frank with you guys:

During school when I have little time, I will work on little side-projects. This one being Springline, mostly.
In holidays, mainly summer vacations, I will work on the big deal: Super Mario RPG: The NovaShards Journey.

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but there's so much going here I don't think I can act as I would want to.
